Using an Ultrasonic Watch Cleaning Machine
Ultrasonic watch cleaning machines are commonly seen in watch shops for cleaning watches. Their main working principle relies on ultrasonic cleaning technology to achieve effective cleaning, making it the most efficient and time-saving method available. When selecting a machine, it’s important to consider the power, as the requirements for shop and home use differ.
Using the Ultrasonic Cleaning Machine:
1. Start by preparing an ultrasonic cleaning machine and fill it halfway with water. Add a few drops of detergent. The machine comes with a watch holder, which will be used in the next step.
2. Take a dirty watch. The dirt on the watch should be visible in a detailed image.
3. Place the watch on the provided watch holder and submerge it in the water-filled machine. Turn on the machine, and the water will start to get murky as the ultrasonic cleaner works its magic. A 3-minute cycle is generally sufficient.
4. After cleaning, you’ll notice a significant difference in the watch’s appearance; the surface grime should be gone. This method is also widely used in optical stores and is recognized as the best way to clean watches.
Watch Cleaning Precautions:
– Do not submerge the watch face in water, especially if the watch is not waterproof. It’s usually sufficient to clean the watch band alone, and most merchants will provide a watch holder.
– Remove the cleaning basket for better results, as plastic parts absorb ultrasonic energy.
– After cleaning, disconnect the machine from the power source to avoid unnecessary damage. Empty the water and wipe down the machine to maintain it properly and extend its lifespan.
